Cause of Nolan Wells' death still unknown, initial results of independent autopsy show

Eighteen-year-old Mississippi teenager Nolan Wells was found dead in waters near Horn Island two days after failing to return from a July 4th boating trip with friends. While local authorities indicated no suspected foul play, his family commissioned an independent autopsy to investigate unanswered questions about the circumstances of his death. The preliminary independent examination revealed red discoloration on the back of Wells' head and could not rule out foul play, though no skull fractures or skin wounds were present in that area.
